Job Description

Job Summary: Main Street Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Manager-In-Training. This is a full-time, hourly position within one of our hotels in the collection. The Manager-In-Training will work closely with the management team to gain experience and knowledge in all aspects of hotel and restaurant operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring a positive guest experience and maintaining the high standards of Main Street Hospitality. This is a seasonal management position for those who are interested in gaining additional experience in the Hospitality Industry. Responsibilities:

• Participate in a structured rotation program focused on either Rooms Division or F&B Division with the hotel operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, anticipating their needs and addressing any issues that may arise
• Learn and adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure all guests have a consistent and positive experience
• Help develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and increase revenue
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for improving operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Complete administrative tasks as assigned, such as generating reports and managing inventory
• Participate in formal training and development initiative tailored for the MSH MIT Program.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in hospitality or food service industry preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer systems
