Job Description

We are an innovative and growing company looking for a dedicated bookkeeper to join our team. This fully remote position offers flexibility to work either from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM based on your time zone. A quiet, dedicated workspace is required to ensure productivity.

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our clients. You'll need to be proficient in QuickBooks Online and have a keen eye for detail. Experience in bookkeeping, as well as additional experience as an accountant or staff accountant, would be highly valuable.

The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You will be managing a portfolio of 10-20 clients, so strong organizational and time management skills are key. Your responsibilities will include managing bank reconciliations, tracking invoices, and ensuring financial records are accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Perform bookkeeping reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Track and manage bills/loans.
- Process invoices and manage collections.
- File 1099 forms and manage sales tax calculations.
- Support payroll filing and reporting.
- Maintain financial transaction records and spreadsheets.
- Submit detailed daily reports to your supervisor.
- Keep accurate time logs for each client.
- Document completed client work using internal software.
- Additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience with small businesses.
- Bonus: Experience as an Accountant or Staff Accountant is a plus but not required.
- In-house training provided as needed.

- Skills:
- Strong communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle deadlines and maintain a calm, focused demeanor under pressure.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet client needs.
- Located in the U.S. with strong English language skills.

Hiring Process:

- Successful applicants will have an initial Zoom interview.
- A QuickBooks Online assessment will be conducted with mock bookkeeping tasks.
- Final interview with the CEO.

Working Conditions:
- This role may require evening and weekend work, depending on client needs.
- Occasional handling of challenging clients may be required.

Physical Requirements:
- You will need a reliable computer that meets industry standards, high-speed internet, dual monitors, and antivirus software.
- A webcam and audio setup for Zoom meetings are required.
- Must be able to work at a computer for 8 hours a day, sometimes longer, including data entry tasks.
